Shakeela's biography on big screen after Silk Smitha

After the recent biopic [Dirty Picture] on Silk Smitha in Bollywood casted by Vidya Balan , there will soon be one on Shakeela, the soft-porn actress who is considered by most of them as Smitha's successor. The actress will be the producer of  the biopic film in all four south Indian languages including Hindi. The main theme of the film will be based on Shakeela's autobiography.

When asked about the news, Shakeela confirmed and said , "Those who read my autobiography in Malayalam felt that it gave a truthful account of my life. My friends suggested that I make a film out of it as not many will have the time and patience to read a book. I've acted in all the four south Indian industries, and have done films in the north as well. So, I thought it would be apt to make the film in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi."

Also She adds, "Until now, many have used my name in their films without my permission. But I've never complained. However, I think it's time for me to make a film on my life."

This film is  yet-to-be-named  will be directed by debutant Babu K Thirumalai who says, "We will be shooting the film simultaneously in all the five languages with a different cast. Talks are on with Anjali, but we are yet to get a confirmation from her. Like how Vidya Balan played Silk Smitha in Bollywood, we are looking at top-rung heroines for our film as well. Shakeela ma'am will be present with us throughout the shooting, and give her inputs. An official announcement will be made in a couple of weeks."
